Our founder Billy P., a Firefighter Paramedic by trade and an avid outdoorsman by passion, was fed up with clunky outdated online camping retailers. He was tired of aimlessly clicking through product categories to ultimately find the tent he was looking for in the "cooking" section. Royal Roof Top Tents was born. Billy's passion for the outdoors stemmed from a childhood of camping road trips, hunting, biking, and exploring every creek and tunnel in a two mile radius of his childhood home. He was inspired by how at ease people seemed to be when surrounded by nature. How present people are when there's no phone service around the camp fire. Today Billy gets his adventure-fix hunting in the Texas hill country, roof top tent camping in the back woods of Colorado Springs with his brothers, and saying yes to any adventure that comes his way.
